Re: The Final
Agreed. Good game by two evenly matched teams. Glad it was won in extra-time (but not so glad by who ;) ), not on penalties (no one deserves to go through that). Congrats to Grads Red and commiserations to Barker. Thanks and good night to the CSL for ... oh, 4 months or so ... and then it'll be pre-...

Re: 2013 CSL CLUB Rankings
Thanks for the heads up, Ross.
No point in me collating that, then. Shame, I agree it would have been interesting to see how the card-count stacked up against club performances.
Oh well ...

Re: 2013 CSL CLUB Rankings
99.4% of statistics are made up....... As always, you have to read deeper than just the stats provided to get a multi dimensional picture... For me, Pembroke are the most successful having taken out all those titles... Thier ranking would be affected by their Div 5 team but go forbid any team chopp...

Re: The Champions 2013
I think you'll find that if the CSL gets to the stage where it has 20 clubs with 2 or more teams, the A and B teams from those clubs will form divs 1A/1B and 2A/2B, with each of those divisions having 10 teams. I don't think there will be any appetite to have more than 10 teams in any of those divs...

Re: 2013 CSL CLUB Rankings
I don't think these rankings tell the full story, though I'm sure you'll say they are not meant to. :) Windsor are ranked at number 2 but they have only one team and they failed to win division 2 or finish in the promotion positions. Immanuel won the title and had a strong B team too. Mt Barker got...

Re: The Champions 2013
If divisions 3, 4 and 5 could be expanded from 8 teams to 10 teams then the teams in those divisions would play less games (i.e. they'd play each other twice over 18 weeks, instead of playing each other 3 times over 21 weeks). So more teams could actually help, if each division ended up with 10 tea...

2013 CSL CLUB Rankings
A League Table for Clubs (not just individual teams). This forum doesn't support tables, so I link the report here as a PDF (sorry): 2013 CSL Club Table You can look at last year's table (though last year's positions are included in this year's table!) and read how this is compiled, and why, on last...

Re: The Champions 2013
Apologies - Yes Div 3 also went down to the last game. So from 7 leagues. 4 were decided on the last day. Div 4 was competitive this year. Rostrevor still played many tight games. The key to any team is to keep the same players out there each week. My team had 53 different palyers take the park thi...

Re: The Champions 2013
And Div3 ...chelsea wrote:...
Good to see many championships decided on the last day of the year. 1A / 1B / 5
2A / 2B / D4 were decided a week (or quite a bit longer ) ago
Couple that with the winning margins (in all but Div4) and it shows you how competitive it is, across 60 odd teams from 20 clubs
