Been done before... Section 5 of the refs guidelines states something along the lines that a ref can abandon a game if he feels intimidated or threatened in any manner. This is at his / her sole discretion. Replay of a game can only be agreed by the governing body. SO... the decision to abandon will...

I reckon we just have to suck it up in terms of ref quality.... It will always be a mixed bag but I reckon the only genuine improvement that can be easily delivered would be to rotate refs through teams / games.... You can ask..... I think you need to have good reason and be prepared to have no ref turn up though....
The process should be to submit a complaint / ref assessment form to document your issues...

Either he touched the ref or he didn't...... shouldn't be that difficult to work out especially if the Ref's report says he touched him. IF HE DID..... He is gone and the decision to abandon should be maintained. I think decisions to replay games need to be exceptional in their circumstance and this...

Can't touch the ref regardless of how stupid the yellows etc. are. We had a game abandoned last year when a ref gave a ludicrous red and the player gave him a mouth full from about 10 metres range...the ref decided he was intimidated and called the game off when both teams agreed there was no need /...

Some people like the battle, some like shooting fish in barrels..... Very hard to persuade either to change! The Div 5 gulf between them and the majority of others is laughable but thats life... Its up to the teams themselves to place their teams into the correct Div to be competitive but too many, ...

I heard that Uni of Adelaide (generic) , Plympton Bulldogs and maybe Modbury Vista (I think) had expressed interest in the last place.
There will be 1 or 3 clubs entering SL2 to eliminate the bye that occurred this season.....
