Re: Scotch B team

Unfortunately we've had several players out over the last couple of weeks with injury/holidays. Given our small player pool, this has had a pretty big impact.

Numbers are looking better this weekend, should be ok for the rest of the season.

Adelaide United Club Rebate 2011?

Is it happening again this year? Great way for clubs to earn some extra money!

For those who haven't heard of it, if you purchased an Adelaide United season membership in the past couple of seasons and stated you were from a CSL (or FFSA) club, the club would get a 20% rebate.

Re: Referees

Scotch vs Pulteney A's were without a Ref last Saturday. First time we haven't had one rock up for the A's in a while...

On the plus side, one of our supporters picked up the whistle and did a really good job.

Re: Regency Game

Linking back to the referees thread, who would want to start refereeing when we see games getting out of hand consistently across different leagues?

There should be a formal warning policy and/or fine for clubs/players that abuse the referees leading to unconditional expulsion from the league.

Re: Women playing in the CSL

You proved my point entirely. Haha, how exactly? I was merely pointing out a situation where mixed competition exists week-in week-out. As to the competitiveness of social leagues? I've certainly played in social mixed leagues that are at least as competitive as the collegiate league. it is a compe...

Re: Women playing in the CSL

The only question in regards to insurance is if the ffsa policy allows it. In the case that it doesn't, surely a signed waiver from the competing player is enough to mitigate that risk. If a club deems a female player good enough to be in their team, surely it can only improve the quality/depth of t...

Women playing in the CSL

So, we had the unfortunate incident of having two female players be refused a match on Saturday after the other team complained that the CSL is a "men's" league. Despite this, I can find no reference to this within the CSL constitution, and we have had no objections to playing women in the...

Training ground

Hi all, due to training ground unavailability at Scotch, we are looking at finding a training ground with lights for either Wednesday or Thursday nights for the remainder of the season.

Do any clubs have/know of grounds available for hire, and if so, at what cost?

Thanks for your help.
