New team in division 5

Just a heads up for those clubs with teams in division 5, Uni White are entering a 5th team in division 5 effective immediately. They will replace Grads Blue's division 5 team that withdrew a few weeks ago and play the fixtures that Grads Blue were scheduled to play. So there will just be one bye pe...

Re: 2016 Cup Final

Good report, thanks Piker.

Well done to both Rostrevor teams. Rostrevor C's have now knocked out three 1A teams, so they've had a remarkable run.

I think that in the mid 1990's Uni Blue A's played Uni Blue B's in the cup final and Uni Blue B's won!

Re: Big bans

Divineponytail is not reflecting well upon Windsor by making that comment. Yes the coach of Rostrevor div 3 is also the Chairman of the CSL. And another CSL Executive Committee member was playing in the game for Rostrevor. There are too few people who are willing to help administer clubs and associa...

Ground availability

With all the wet weather this week, how are the home teams' pitches looking for this week? The following 1A/1B games have already been moved to Barratt Reserve/Adelaide Shore, plus some lower grade games: Unley v Immanuel Pembroke v Grads Blue Rostrevor v Pulteney Grads Red v Uni White are sensibly ...

Re: Big bans

There have been some fairly serious disciplinary incidents this year, and in one particular week we had 15 red cards across the CSL, which must be a record. But a significant factor in relation to the penalties handed down has been that many matters have been referred to the FFSA Disciplinary Tribun...

Re: Round 3 Cup teams - 16

Good post by Roswil, but there is a typo within there. The final is on Friday 2 September, not 12 September.

Rostrevor 3's are the dark horses for the cup now. Division 3 teams regularly perform well in the cup.

Re: Big Name players in CSL

So the big name player would appear to be Joel Porter. 4 goals for him for Croydon Kings yesterday, Poor Eastern Elite!

Re: Big Name players in CSL

I think Milan Ivanovic played for Windsor Gardens quite a few years ago. I heard that Damian Mori may pull on the boots for Unley, but I don't know if that's still a chance to happen. Hopefully not next week, anyway. Former Pembroke and Uni White coach, Jim Muir, was capped for the Socceroos and pla...

Re: Croydon Kings 2B

Croydon Kings do have a team in division 2B. That news was emailed to all clubs in early/mid April and they have played all their league games since week 2 of the league season. Their game versus CBC from league week 1 will be played as a catch-up match in due course. The fixtures you can see via th...
