Interesting to note all 1A teams conceded goals in the cup last week - should be a cracking start to the year!

Hard to pick first up...Immanuel and CBC 1-1 draw
Norwood's quality will shine over Mt Barker...3-0
North City looked good last week...2-1 over Windsor
PAC after a great result last week to just edge Scotch 3-2
Pulteney to do it easy over Grads Blue and begin their quest for promotion in style...4-0

Few surprises in Rnd 1. Pembrokes big score against Uni Whites in Div 1 and WGOS first loss in 3 seasons in Div 2. Going by the score of the Unley v SHOC game, looked like a comprehensive win for Unley...might have to upgrade them from my original tip of Dark horse to title contenders!

I didnt think there where any surprises in week 1. Unley always match up well against SHOC.

Wasnt surprised that Windsor lost. More surprising was the score line. If you score 6 goals you expect to win.

Too early to discuss title contenders. Maybe after 6 games we can begin to do that.

Windsor may now struggle to win any of their first 3 games. Pulteney and Mt Barker won't be easy. Div 2A could be very competitive at the top this year. Immanuel, North City, Norwood and PAOC could all be big improvers.

ROCSC had 5 wins out of 5 in week 1 and face Mercedes' 4 teams this Friday night. Those games and the Grads Red vs Unley games should be great games. You can't win the title in the first few weeks, but you can lose it.
