FFA Cup - Unley

Well done to Unley on winning in the 1st round of the FFA Cup on Saturday.
They travelled to Barmera on Saturday and were able to win 2-1 which has left them in the last 16 from the state.

I dont enjoy Unley winning too often in the CSL apart from when it assists our club but I hope they go as far as possible in the FFA Cup as they not only represent themselves but the league as well.

They also got a 1/3 of a page write up in the Saturday advertiser with a photo. This was great to see.

More CSL sides should be forced to enter. Eg top 4 1A clubs. The CSL should assist these clubs where possible financially and also excuse the teams from the 1st couple of rounds of the CSL cup.

In the past the league never assisted the teams that entered the Fed Cup and in the end all CSL teams stopped entering as it just became too difficult for clubs.

Hopefully in 2016 we see a few more CSL side in the FFA Cup and well done to Unley for playing over the Easter weekend and hopefully the draw is kind for round 2.
