RIP Phil Walsh

Post by chelsea »

A very sad day in sport. Spent many years at the Power. Couldnt believe what I was hearing this morning.

Every sport across the country should have a minute silence this weekend.

Agreed, shocking news.
Will the CSL put out an official request for a minutes silence?

I guess its too early for the CSL to make a statement on this and the CSL will most likely wait how things unfold and what direction if any the FFSA take.

I think it will be up to Club leaders / coaches / players / referees to make the calls this weekend.

If it was up to me I would have a minute silence and wear black arm bands. Put I am a Power supporter and I rated Phil Walsh highly. I hate the Crows but was more then happy for him to have a crack at the top job.

I am referee tomorrow and will ask all the teams before the game whether they would like to have a minute silence.

It will be there call. I cant force them.

So which games in the CSL had a minutes silence before their games?

I only know of 2 at the moment.

Rostrevor v Blackwood Div 5

Scotch v Rostrevor Div 3
