The Mighty Crabs

Well done to the Pulteney 1st team on scoring your first goal of the season on the weekend. You poor fellas have had nothing else to celebrate.

Pulteney and Woodside appear to be having seasons from hell and fair play to them for sticking it out. Barker are having a similar time in SL2.

We (Woodside) have had a rough season.

We wanted to expand this year and get two teams happening after having to turn away a few players last year because we had enough already. We hated that so we thought expanding would be better. In the end we've lost a couple of players to injury and couple of players called it quits, leaving us with struggling numbers.

Meanwhile we also wanted to get as many back-to-back matches as possible and Div 3 & 4 seemed better for this reason, but due to our numbers, we've got Reserves players filling positions in the A's game. That's 3 hours of football for some players.

We've tried to put up a fight, but hats off to our keeper who stand in his box week after week.

We'll be back next year, hopefully ready for a win. Just one would be nice.
