After a long Easter break for clubs we are back into round 3 league games this week. With that we have some general house keeping issues for the CSL.

Results:

A number of clubs have failed to send results in on time or at all – these clubs have been noted and will now be fined for further indiscretions – All Home teams are responsible for sending match results to CSL via sms to Luke Hylton – 0403697861 by 6.15pm.

A reminder to all clubs that as per the Competition Rules of the Collegiate Soccer League:

In the event that a match official is not present at the scheduled start of a CSL match, the two (2) competing teams shall nominate a match official for the match.

If the two (2) teams cannot agree on a suitable match official then it is the responsibility of the Home team to provide a match official for the CSL match.

The CSL ask that where the Home appoints a person within their club that they have a sound understanding of the rules of the game and experience at refereeing as to officiate the match.

Also that they endeavour to be fair and unbiased in all the decisions that they make when officiating.

Away teams can negotiate with the Home team as to undertake joint duties for refereeing, i.e. one team does a half each.

The CSL have spoken to Stephen Toth and he has informed me that more referees will be fully trained in the coming weeks and it is anticipated most if not all CSL matches will be officiated in future.

We ask for your continued patience and as a means of being fair and equitable, Division 3 and 4 teams who have had a greater number of matches to date unofficiated will be allocated referees before other teams who have received referees in all matches to date.

Match Sheets & Best and Fairest Points for Unofficiated Matches:

We are missing a number of match sheets from rounds 1, 2 and Collegiate Cup from teams who did not have a referee officiate their matches.

Could the home team post their white page match sheet to the CSL PO Box address by Friday 6 May 2011.

Where matches are unofficiated I ask that going forward home teams submit the white page match sheet by post to the CSL PO Box 3493 Rundle Mall 5000 on the Monday immediately following Saturday’s match.

Importantly, delegates or coaches when respectively signing the match sheet following the match on Saturday verify the score, goals scorers, yellow and red card recipients, as well as record any injuries and the nature of the injury as well as allocating best player points.

Red Cards:

Players who received red cards to date are as follows – those names in bold either pending or yet to serve their suspension:

Forfeiture of Match:
Unfortunately due to a number of issues quite unique to this weekend, Division 2B match between Mt Barker v North City will not be played by way of forfeiture by North City.  A 3 – 0 win is thereby allocated to Mt Barker.

Good luck to all teams
