At Hindmarsh vs Country Select XI

Well it’s that time of year again.
In fact its the 30th time. What a milestone for the CSL and all its supporters, players and sponsors should celebrate and be proud of contributing to a great achievement. That achievment is participating in a growing league that is comprised of some great football rivalries and offers a great place for footballers of many backgrounds and ages to play in great locations around the Adelaide metropolitan area. Congratulations to all those who have contributed to clubs and in turn the league over the past three decades. Anyway as the 30th preseason draws to a close. All the trial games have been played, the 30th season has been launched and the carnival has already been won.  We should welcome our three new clubs this season the Mt Barker Crusaders affiliated to Cornerstone College, North City Panthers from Parafield TAFE and UniSA FC playing out of magill campus. All of these new clubs will add some more depth and character to a growing league that is sure to only improve again after this season.

On the website front over the next 24 to 48 hours we hope to have the new information up for all clubs, the rules and regulations and other documents to go up in the downloads section and obviously the all important results from Round 1 of the Collegiate Soccer League.

For those who have the job of phoning in your results please go to the contacts page and feel free to contact Luke Hylton from the CSL Executive Committee as soon as your match is completed, preferably by SMS to 0403697861 (you could email if necessary) with your results. Please note that this is the HOME teams RESPONSIBILITY. Please get them in ASAP as most games should finish at approx 5pm clubs have over an hour to send them in. Results will be published online here and in the Sunday Mail.

Alright, well good luck to Immanuel and Pulteney who kick off the opening game of the season tomorrow night with an 8.15pm kickoff @ SAWSA Park, Park 21 Greenhill Road, Adelaide. (across from Annesley College) All will be welcome at the game and its sure to be crisp but dry weather friday night and Immanuel would love the honor of welcoming Pulteney back into Division 1A after some time in the second tier of the CSL. Again, good Luck to both teams friday night and good luck to all the clubs over the weekend and we hope you all enjoy the first round of the CSL in 2011.
