Well round 2 of the CSL is here and after a busy first weekend of games, we have some housekeeping issues regarding game times and referees for round 2. Please read carefully below:

Firstly, for those clubs with teams in division 3 please note that several home games of AUSC Black and AUSC White have not been scheduled at the usual 2:45pm kick-off time but have been scheduled for either 1pm or 11:30am kick-offs. This was necessary due to pitch sharing arrangements between the Adelaide Uni CSL and SAASL teams. Please make sure you read the division 3 fixtures (including the information at the bottom of page 2) to see if your team is affected by this. Also the following matches have changed venues – all clubs have been notified and all changes are finalised:

Division 1A / 1B    Scotch v Unley                          3.15 pm / 1.30 pm kick-offs      
match moved to Unley High School instead of Scotch College

Division 3              AUSC Black  v Mt Barker         2.45 pm kick-off                         
match moved to SAWSA Park Park 21 Greenhill Road – opposite Annesley College instead of Adelaide University Oval

Division 4              Pulteney v Pembroke (Gold)    1.00 pm kick-off                        
match moved to Park 17 (Pembroke’s ground) instead of Pulteney

The following match will now be taking place:
Division 2B            North City v Westminster        1.30 pm kick-off
TBC – this match is likely to be played as North City should have sufficient players from this week onwards for 2 teams for remainder of the CSL season.

Secondly last week a number of games had no referees in divisions 3 and 4.  The CSL is in the process of finding a solution to the problem and it will be rectified sooner rather than later as Dino Mancini will be meeting with the FFSA to discuss the issue and hopefully resolve it quickly. However that does leave us this week with 5 games across Division 3 and 4 without referees they are detailed below:

Referees have been appointed to all other CSL matches this Saturday.

Please if your club does not have a referee for any game during the season please note:

1. Any referees are entitled to be paid and the CSL urges the home team to offer payment to people who referee at matches where an official referee has not been appointed or turned up.

2. Match sheets must be correctly completed and the white copy posted to the CSL regardless of whether an official referee officiated a match or not. In that instance the home team should ensure that the match sheet is promptly posted to the CSL.

3. The best on ground votes should still be filled out on the match sheet even if there is not an official referee officiating a match. If one person referees the entire game, that person should determine the votes. Failing that, it is suggested that the coaches from each team confer as to which players should receive the votes.

4. Details such as goalscorers, injuries and yellow or red cards should also be recorded on match sheets regardless of whether an official referee officiated a match or not.
